We operate a pre-paid membership system, whereby the more credit you put on your account, the more bonus credit you get. When you get low on credit you can recharge at the store, 24 hours a day, through our Automated Dispenser and Browsing Stations. You can rent DVDs if you are a member and have credit on your membership card (non members can use a credit card as a temporary membership card). Your membership card holds your rental balance. This means that from time to time you have to top up your membership card (available 24 hours a day), by first swiping your membership card and then topping up your membership account. The Browsing Stations and Automated Dispenser can accept credit card and the inside front of the Automated Dispenser can also accept notes (i.e. $5, $10, $20, $50).

Membership is free. You'll need to fill in a Red Room DVD Membership Application Form, have a valid credit card and show proof of age. Once you have completed these formalities, you will be asked to charge-up your Membership card. Your Membership card will then be ready to use immediately.

If you lose your card or it is stolen then please contact us as soon as possible. We can cancel your old card and issue you with a new one. There is a replacement fee of $2.50 to cover admin costs.

Yes. With our online reservation system you can book and reserve your choice of movies whilst at work/home and collect them from the store at your convenience. You can reserve your movie and hold it in your name for up to 2 hours. (^*Rental charges only start once you collect your movie). To use the online reservations you must have cookies enabled on your browser.

^* In order not to disadvantage other members and to discourage abuse of the reservation facility, we reserve the right to make a charge of $3 if reserved movies are not taken up.

What would you like them to be? At Red Room DVD, you decide how little you want to pay for the latest DVDs. There are no gimmicks, no hidden charges. The quicker you return your movie, the less you pay! Our rental charges for New Releases are less than our competitors because we use the very latest in rental technology and don’t need the unnecessary staffing levels of our competitors.

Our Automatic Dispensers are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, which better suits today’s flexible lifestyle and allows us to offer lower rentals to you, our members. Conventional movie rental stores can only rent when they are open, so they charge higher rental fees to boost profits from less rentals. Rd Room members rent smarter by returning earlier and benefiting from lower rentals.

You must be 18 or older to be a member but at the time of applying for membership you can obtain additional membership cards for $2.50 each under your membership; These can be issued with a separate password that will restrict choice of movies and games in accordance with Australian censorship laws. It is the responsibility of the member to make sure their membership card reflects any restrictions in the choice of movies and games they want their membership card(s) to have access to. Red Room DVD does not accept any responsibility for inappropriate selections of movies/games when using membership cards.
