Specifications

Our dispensers have two hardware components:

  1. The storage unit; and
  2. The LEM (ie user interface)

Differently configured LEM’s can be used with different sized storage units – it depends on your requirements.

Roll your mouse over the image on the left to see where the components are located.

Storage Unit

The storage unit is the rear compartment which stores DVDs (or other items to be dispensed). The storage unit can be entirely customised to dispense products of different dimensions for rental or sale.

There are 4 standard sizes available: Micro, Mini, Regular and Extra Large.

Dimensions / Capacity:

Storage Unit Width Depth Height Max DVD
Slimline Standard
Micro 58.8cm 77cm 148cm 216
Mini 73cm 77cm 207cm 537 1023
Regular 110cm 77cm 207cm 1074 2046
XL 147cm 77cm 207cm 1432 2728

LEM

The LEM is the front interface of the dispenser through which customers can browse, pick-up, return and pay. The LEM has a product gateway (through which products are dispensed and returned) can incorporate either a touchscreen button navigated screen or a touch screen. In addition, the LEM can incorporate a membership card reader, bank note reader, EFTPOS PIN pad, and a product gateway which allows for products to be dispensed and returned.

Buster 24 provides a number of options regarding the design and functionality of your LEM to ensure that your dispenser meets the design and ease of usability required by today’s savvy consumer.

There are 5 basic categories of LEMs, each tailoured to suit differing functional requirements – Robot, Single, Selector, Duplex, Plus.

Robot

smallest of the LEMs and is primarly designed to be used with the Micro storage unit to provide customers with a compact dispensing solution that can be implemented in the smallest of locations. Notwithstanding the reduced dimensions, the Robot provides identical functionality as larger LEMs (Width 51cm)

Single

a compact interface that provides customers with more space to interact with the Buster 24 dispenser that what the Robot offers. Again the Single is sufficiently compact to provide an optimal capacity to work in sites with limited space (Width 70.5cm)

Selector

while the Selector looks similar to the Single, it is distinctively different in that it does not dispense any items. Rather it allows customers to browse and reserve products at a dispenser. This LEM can be networked with the dispenser to provide customers with extra search availability. The Selector can be located separately from the storage unit.

Duplex

allows customers to simulatenously browse the contents of the Buster 24 selector and pickup or return product. The left side of the duplex effectively operates as a Selector whilst the right side is effectively a Robot (width 102cm)

Plus

provides extra browsing capacity as it is essentially a Duplex with an extra Selector. This allows two people to browse with a third person simultaneously able to use the pick-up/ return slot

Note that all pictures above are of fibreglass horizontal LEMs. You can choose to have the LEM manufactured in steel which is more ‘vandal-proof’. You also have the option of ordering a vertical front instead, which provide less browsing privacy, but greater space efficiency. To really impress your customers, we can print a design the front of a vertical LEM to suit your branding.

After Sales Service

The cutting edge dispensers manufactured by Buster24 and the fully integrated WinVideo software is only part of the package offered to customers. We provide a comprehensive after sales service program, ensuring that you are provided with a total DVD rental solution, rather than a ‘hardware drop’.

Each machine is backed by a 24 month warranty on mechanical components, and 12 months on electrical components.

With our remote support service, trained technical staff can access your dispenser remotely and perform online diagnostics. In fact, the vast percentage of problems you might incur can be addressed without physically visiting the location. We can even configure your dispenser to automatically notify our support team via email or SMS if any problems occur.

Through our national service network arrangements, we are also able to dispatch service staff to your dispenser at any location in Australia should it be required.
